Michael Schetzel is the founder of Big Ticket Consulting and a senior sports business executive with a proven track record of driving revenue growth across professional sports organizations at every level — from major league franchises to emerging properties.
Over the course of his career, Michael has generated consistent year-over-year revenue increases, leading ticket sales, corporate partnerships, and overall business operations for organizations including the Boston Red Sox, Real Salt Lake, Nashville SC, FC Tulsa, and Indy Eleven. His leadership has contributed to more than $135 million in annual ticket revenue, record-setting expansion campaigns, and transformational partnership deals.
Michael is widely recognized for his ability to build and scale revenue engines from the ground up. He has launched ticketing and service departments, developed premium seating products, secured high-value corporate partnerships — including landmark jersey-front sponsorships — and created innovative fan engagement strategies that translate directly into measurable financial results.
In addition to his team leadership roles, Michael has worked across the broader sports industry as a consultant and advisor. His recent work includes supporting expansion clubs, advising premium experience strategy through his involvement with the Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD), and driving business development initiatives for emerging ticket technology platforms.
